It’s only a couple of months until the summer holidays will be here. Approximately 7 weeks of entertaining your kids can be tricky. That’s why we’ve decided to come up with our top places of where to take kids on a day out this summer to help inspire you and make the summer holiday entertainment that little bit easier!
Southend
Why not enjoy all the fun of the seaside and head to Southend for the day? Walk along the longest pleasure pier in the world, indulge in ice cream and fish & chips, and enjoy the fun of Adventure Island! Southend is a day out the whole family will enjoy.
Brighton
Another place where to take kids, another seaside destination. Everyone loves a day out in Brighton! Enjoy the amusements on the pier, view the seaside town from the i360, have some lunch and go shopping in The Lanes or walk around The Royal Pavilion.
Clacton Airshow
See the seafronts and gardens of Clacton transform into a fun filled viewing area and watch the impressive aerobatic displays of Clacton Airshow. In the viewing area, you’ll also be able to enjoy some of the exhibition stands, food courts and various other on-site entertainment.
Theme Parks
Theme parks are always a great choice when choosing a day out over the summer holidays! A day full with adrenaline rush is one that’ll definitely keep the kids entertained and there’s so many theme parks to choose from in the UK. If you’re a fan of the big rides, head to Thorpe Park or Alton Towers, or if you like a few more of the tamer rides, we recommend Drayton Manor or Chessington World of Adventures.
